Hello!
Updates! Updates! OK, so I left my job at Domo and have been working really hard on creating original songs both WoW and non-WoW related. I am probably the happiest I’ve been in such a long time, finally getting to focus on and do what I love every day! It doesn’t matter that money is lower, or that I’m not able to socialize so much in the day because this has been my dream for a long time and I don’t mind any of that!
I have still got a couple of really, just, amazing collabs in the works with some well known names – but I don’t know when they’re coming out. Super excited about them though ;)
I also have some project ideas of my own in mind, however I am currently doing some odds and ends for some people in the WoW community and they’re taking up quite a portion of my time so I’ve not been able to focus 100% on getting my own stuff out there for the time being. Also, had a major problem with Youtube rejecting nearly 90% of the videos I was uploading-saying that it was not me in the video, or me singing, or royalty free music. It got to a point where I was having to explain my rights in such detail as to say that I had ‘written the lyrics in Notepad for Windows Vista’, ‘Mixed the music in Cubase SX’, ‘Music mixed by myself’, ‘in the video: Myself’- and still I was getting rejected. It’s normal to obviously credit the royalty free music with things like artist, song title, link to the song, the license it’s under (both human and legal code), but to have to go as far as to say how I wrote the lyrics and all that was just so frustrating. It took them 2 weeks to accept My Mount & I with several appeals from myself. I mean come on! It’s royalty free music and me singing into a mic! /sigh
How funny was it when Trololololololol got removed from Youtube?! I also got a swifty strike on my account :P I appealed and within about 10 minutes they had reinstated the video and removed the strike. Who reviews these videos? Really?
Anywho… spell check is informing me with a pretty squiggly line that anywho is not a word and squiggly is which has surprised me. And apparently it surprised this little guy too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL1foQKD3OI

Salutations!
First, let me apologise if this feels too much of an intrusion; I was listening to your tunes for the evening, and was taken aback not only by your musical ability, but the excellent choice of parody material in your WoW Parody tunes. I felt I need to air my appreciation, but I was not sure how to contact you in person. So if this feels stalky or otherwise uninvited (I am not certain what is the purpose of this forum, and might thus be acting against it), give me a holler.
That out the way, let me introduce myself. I am a former casual player of WoW; played from 2006-2008 (stopped to finish my Masters, as I could not muster the willpower to spend time on both) and from 2009-2010 (ceased to play due to birth of my 2nd daughter who then made evenings very irregular). Now that I have, apparently permanently, stopped playing, I define myself more via my proud fatherhood and my teaching profession.
One thing I have not lost interest on, though, is parodical music made to WoW subjects – preferably to identifiable radio-played tunes, such as your late Gotye-based collab. I am an avid fan of parody in general, and that sort of thing has so many things to tickle my fancy in it I cannot have brought myself to leave it behind.
I write not only to express my gratitude and appreciation for your work. There is a portal called Nörttitytöt (Finnish, lit. “Nerd Girls”; more appropriately “Geek Girls”) that deals in all matters female and geeky. In the past months, they have had articles going through MMORPG-experiences, female musicians and geeky sex appeal; if I am allowed to be so bold and to comment thus, you nicely roll up all those items to a pretty package (sorry Dudeadin!; but then again, I also boldly assume him to agree to some extent). I have brought your person to their awareness and asked if any of the regular columnists have interest in interviewing you – and should they show disinterest, I might be inclined to do such an interview myself.
All this, of course, is pending your acceptance. I wish not to disturb your privacy in any way imaginable, nor do I wish to associate you in channels you do not identify with.
However, from your personal updates and your bravado in music I collect that you are a person who does not particularly feel the need to dodge the spotlight nor are you shy about what you like. If you feel like having a chat and maybe inspiring a few good Finnish women, reply affirmative and someone’ll contact you. I tried to send you this over PM but for some reason the recipient choice seemed not to work.
Best regards,
WildBerry
